Hey guys so I had a real bad bog and back fire at half to full throttle. Then I decided to tape off part of my filter to see if it was getting too much air. Sure enough it was ran great only issue was it ran better with the a/ f screw turned all the way lean . I then decided to jet up. I don’t have anything larger then a 80 for the main jet but went from a 34 to a 35 pilot jet. Now it is running like crap again. Should I go back to the 34 and just run it with tape on my filter or any suggestions?

For now I'd stick with the tape on the filter, but order a set of main jets to tune with. If you had to turn the mix screw all the way lean for the best results, I'm not really sure why you'd install a larger pilot jet. At least try going back to the 34 and re-tuning the mix screw for now. May want to pick up a 32 pilot if you order main jets. You can also try different needle settings. Backfiring usually means it's lean so I'd try richer.
