Are you using as big a carb though? 24mm is on the large side for a 70cc. That thing is going to be low on vacuum until it's really spinning. I do. But its a 75cc cylinder. Powerjet blocked. And I dont have air restriction or something else. Bike runs fine My point was that if the air is moving slower it takes a bigger jet to get enough fuel. 24mm carb vs a 21mm carb will want more jet. On the OPs set up most folks run a 21mm or 19mm carb. A difference cylinder set up pulling air at a higher velocity may be happier with a smaller jet. I always wind up running a larger jet than everyone recommends because I'm in the swamp at sealevel. We have dense air. I go a few hundred miles in land and have to fiddle with my air box. Go up to the mountains and need to bring jets with me.

I know what the point is.
Just told my opinion. We do 50cc to 70cc races here and many people (including me) are using even 28mm carbs on 70cc.
Yeah, for racing at different sea levels or different seasons requires fine jetting. But for a daily driver bike it´s not that much.
