Don't spray WD40 on the piston. Use a thin smear of red rubber grease to help the piston in. If you don't have any a light coating of brake fluid will help it slide past the seals. Might be worth taking the seals out and cleaning behind them as you have it apart. The pins need lubricating. With either the proper grease, or red rubber grease.

got everything back together and bled. its a tad bit better but still kinda tough to pull i think. i remember being able to just grab it with 2 fingers and the nose would dive pretty good. now im using my whole hand basically. tried bleeding again but not a significant change.
