A scooter newbie, dont bash me too hard Soo, basically i got a scooter for free, its a baotian rebel49, year 2008. Was not in running condition, wires were oxidized, due to sitting outside with no battery lid for a long time (i believe the previous owner said it was like 4 years without any use). Soo, got it home, started working on it, got it to run, but very poorly, some power on low end, like up to roughly 15-18ish mph, and then the power dissapears. Removed and dissasembled the carb, found that one jet was clogged, cleaned it, and then reassembled it. Tried to start it, but nothing happened. Thought of sucking on the vacuum line, to prime the carb and hey ho and behold, i did it too many times and it started leaking gas from the airbox. Now it does not start, it kiinda wants to start, but dies very fast. If i kickstart it, i can see smoke from the exhaust when i kick it, but it doesnt want to start. I assume i flooded it with too much gas. What do i do now???

Take the spark out to vent while taking the carb off to fix it. Sucking on the vac. line only should let fuel flow until the float valve shuts it off.
