Lines? Plural? I like to put mine back to the intake track to reduce pollution a little.

Your already reducing pollution by riding a scooter ! Let it hang or route it up high and get some drain back help ! Just make sure it says open and clear of garbage here is how you will know if it is clogged when you open your oil dip stick and oil shoots out at you , your vent is clogged or you are leaking oil from allover the motor ! lol

If you are meaning the rocker or valve cover rubber tube, in the stock environment, it is connected to a port in on the air box or filter. For those that have "junked" the stock airl-filter or air-box, you can place (snake) it in the foam filter (somehow). The idea being to allow the incoming air to the carb help extract fumes that build up in the valve cover. Anyone here know what PCV valve is on an automotive engine? Same idea! Here's what I did when I chose to change to this type of filter.

Red, how do you get it to run with the air cleaner ducted alongside the intake elbow? Magic carb, too?
If you start the engine and run at idle, then feel the outlet of the cam cover tube. You likely will feel the pressure pulses that the piston is creating as it moves within the cylinder. If your rings are good, and you don't have blowby, you can duct the tube to the airbox without problem. If you do have blowby, or are pumping oil out the tube, it might help to route the tube to a 'catch can' fashioned with a length of larger tubing, plugged at one end, and the vent tube run into the other end. If liquid oil gathers, it will eventually fill the large tubing, and you can then dispose of it without rustproofing your engine. If not, at least the puffing will be somewhat contained and not be sucking in things like insects, dirt, etc. tom

You can run it back to the filter if you have a foam over filter. Just run it underneath the foam layer. I just have mine zip tied to the frame. It won't hurt anything as far as your scooter goes and as Darius said, you're already helping the environment. So long as you're not in the state 9f California I wouldn't worry too much.
