Hi, everybody, this is my first scooter. It's basically great, lots of fun to ride and faster than I thought it would be but the throttle isn't right.
1. With a full pull the engine lags for almost one second before revving at all.
2. With an easy twist there is no response until 25% then it kicks off too hard. After 50% it's near full acceleration to 30MPH and the rest of the pull slowly gets me from 30 to almost 40.
This means I have to lurch and brake while lane filtering and I'm going to clip someone's mirror. I can also manage it if I quickly pull and release repeatedly.
If I understand rollers correctly it's not them or the belt acting up, is it? More like the carb and clutch?
Whatever it is, I want some parts to get a quicker acceleration to 40MPH and keep as much fuel economy as possible, so what if I just buy exhaust, rollers, belt and a nice carb without the blocked throttle? Do I need a CDI too?

I don't know if this is your problem but its a great video on how to get to your carb:
Edit: Don't try and adjust your volume, Mick is deaf and some of his videos have no audio.
