I run what I call the "pig mod", invented by a forumista named pig. Get a foam filter with an external foam cover (2-stage) and wrap a little tape around it to block off a little of the inner filter.

The carb was definitely not for a ruckus, my friend was just experimenting. I pretty much got it free so i'll try it out. I thought they were really dellorto carbs? I have a foam filter already but there isnt much space between the carb and frame to fit it. I'll see what i can figure out.

You should still investigate the differences and check to make sure this carb is right for your bike.

Your carb is not an 'actual' pwk btw, but basically a clone. Oko and Keihin make 'original' pwk carbs. Here's a website on how to tune an oko pwk. It will be very similar. The emulsion tube is different on 4t pwks vs. 2t pwks. www.mid-atlantictrials.com/Instal.html

Do i have to open the cap some to fit on the spark plug?

If the boot won’t fit on just remove the screw on nipple, or replace the boot to the clip on style - they are more secure. You should get 100% opening from all carbs. If not check your cable adjustment or you may need to swap to a different throttle tube.

I have a sponge filter but its not gonna fit so im gonna have to run a velocity stack with a screen. I would go ahead and spend $20 on a uni filter. Velocity stacks are actually meant to have a filter clammped onto the end, and a velocity stack with no filter will be VERY difficult to tune, especially the mid range and idle. You'll always be lean or rich, never stochiometric.
the venturi diffuser takes care of the sloppy mid range and idle.
velocity stack + venturi diffuser + oko 28 = good all around tune, city or full throttle runs.

Thats interesting stuff there. I'll get it running first then mess around with it. I might know why its not opening all the way but i'll check it out tomorrow. Thank you all for all your help!

I've seen this before, but never tried it. I'm not sure I like how it would change the airflow and I haven't seen any carb manufacturers try this. But, I haven't tried it do I can't speak on it. But regardless, I would still use a filter on the end of that bell mouth.

or you can buy hobby micro drill set from a hobby store. they are # drill bits. they are so small that they are designated by a # (as opposed to a fraction or letter size drill bit.) you can take a jet (stock or smaller than the 110 jet you are using now) and progressively drill it out and test. each time you go up a drill size, install and test it. if you know that the 110 is too small right now, you can start drilling that jet. I bought a bunch of stock used jets from a local shop and used those jets for drilling/tuning. there are charts on the internet that correlates the # drill diameter to a jet size. use that information to buy the specific size jet. Will this really work!? I’ve considered drilling out one of my jets before because I cannot for the life of me find the correct jets to fit in my run-of-the-mill PZ19J Chinese 2-stroke carb, which is ridiculous, you can find a million different restamped/branded 19mm carbs on Amazon, ebay and the like but if you try and find Jets for them NOTHING. When I thought about drilling them out I was worried about not getting all the brass shavings out. Having a slightly rough drill out through the jet though possibly would help with the mixture? More info please. -Matt

Make sure when you drill your jet its not in the carb. After drilling blow out and loose brass particles. They won't be big but will clog something.
