Installed new E Choke on subject line scooter. took some trips down the road to dial in the carburetor. My buddy came over - not a scoot mech - and tuned the carb so it would idle good and I had good throttle response through out the range. Scoot ran like a dream. No hesitation, no sputtering and good response for just over 50km long ride. mostly wide open lol Start scoot up next morn, turns right over but then goes into super high idle. I need to lift the scoot otherwise it will take off. I let it warm up and when I go to throttle, nothing. bogs down and dies and wont restart. I did read about the dangers of over using quick start so once i killed the battery trying to start it, i called it quits. I have had the carb off many times previously, cleaned it out with carb cleaner and compressed air. running stock air box I am suspecting the power to the e choke is finicky. I have looked all over the web for 17.5mm manual choke carb but cant seem to find one that will work with my set up. thoughts and opinions are appreciated in advance. also - attached some pics of the carb. i have only used the knob screw to adjust idle and the small flat head screw in the carb to adjust air mixture.

First guesses: vacuum leak; slide hanging up.

+1 on the vacuum leak. I had a Genuine Roughhouse with the same problem. Do you have gaskets between the intake, spacer and carb? Thats the likely place.

Thank you so much for the right advice. Was not able to find gaskets per say. so put gasket maker on the spacer and voila! scooter runs like a dream.
Also, cleaned out and the reeds and checked that gasket as well.
Ride on scooter lovers, ride on.
