Hello guys, I have a Garelli GSP 50 scooter. Its all stock, including the exhaust. I want to make it a bit faster, and so i was thinking i put a yasuni z sport exhaust. My friend says that the yasuni will cause damage to the engine. Is this true? My scooter has a minarelli horizontal engine, probably chinese production (1PE40MB), and it has 3.8 kW power, or 5.136 hp. I will also be puting all stage 6 CVT, stage 6 air filter, and tune my carburator (it is probably 16mm carb), and i will put in a racing ignition coil and a good spark plug. Will damage happen to my engine or not.

The sport exhaust alone won,t do"damage" but if you start to modify your stock system you will shorten it,s life . Spend a long time in the tech section learning how to best use each mod, vendors sell mods as bolt on,and yes they do but tuning a scoot is tricky job.you will need to get rid of "probably" and use "I have a" in your plans, good luck .

Any mod done to your scooter can damage the engine if not done properly. Spend some time here, read through the tabs in the floating menu to your left. The Directory has a wealth of information as does the Scooter FAQ. You might even find a Manual for it looking there. You'll even find where Brent tested aftermarket CDI's and determined they weren't always a good idea. Please enjoy and there is always someone here to answer your questions.
