So I got my Polini For Race clutch installed with 1k RPM clutch springs, 1k RPM contra (Malossi yellow spring), overrange rear pullley, 798-17-28 belt (10mm longer than stock), Hoca Multivar clone variator and 5gr rollers. My question is...how do I get my belt to ride higher in the rear pulley? I've included a picture of my old belt (788-17-28) and its position in the rear pulley and with the new larger belt it actually seemed to be riding a little lower for some reason, which makes no sense to me. Maybe I goosed it before I shut it off or something... I've watched 90GTVert's overrange video series and I'm pretty sure my pulley is the same as one he used. It has a 122mm diameter. Should I try the Malossi 6111108 belt? Seems to be the only belt out there that's a step up without being too large.

Where is your belt sitting in the variator?

I use the 6111108 with good results on my clone engines.
Sometimes you need to use a spacer up front to let the belt fall into the variator more toward the center. Even 0.5mm can make a difference.

Where is your belt sitting in the variator? Definitely sitting toward the center as desired, but I couldn't say how far. I'll try and get a pic next time if necessary. It's hard to see exactly where it sits in the variator. Also, I did the marker trick on the variator and had at least a centimeter of marker left after getting it up to top speed. I think I'm just gonna have to try one of those Malossi belts... just hate to pay shipping on an order and I'm not buying $150 worth of belts haha.

I would try some shims on the variator, and see if it's any better.
