ok so gonna make a new post cause this is new. got the scooter to start but we discovered the rocker arm for the exhaust valve is either too tight with a 64mm arm which would indicate a 69mm valve but when we put on a 69mm arm its way too loose. put a loose arm on temp and adjusted it as tight as we could and the scooter fires up and idles fine did this several times before the adjustment nut fell off the arm so it obv died cause it couldn't open the exhaust valve anymore. anyone ever had a situation like that happen and how did you tune the valve lash to not be ungodly tight on one size and ungodly loose on the other. unrelated but it also will start up fine but the second you give it any seriously gas it just dies.

Get the right parts. The longer valve stem should 'ride' above the level of the cam cover gasket surface. Unless someone has been installing parts willy-nilly, both intake and exhaust will have the same size. If the cylinder head was part of a 'kit', it should have been specified which size was in the kit, hopefully to match the original. Worst comes to worst, take off the head, and install the old one. You should not have to be fiddling with the adjustment that much. Something is wrong. tom

the valve head was the issue, got it fully running, now just some tuning to do as it has no power like it barely made it up a hill plug checks out fine not rich or lean, so i'm guessing with the mileage on it i should prolly go ahead and replace the clutch springs and the torque spring as it has over 3k on the oddometer. so thats my project for tommorow is pulling the variator to make sure its weighted properly and pulling off the clutch to replace the springs, the exhaust valve head was machined wrong and was somehow a 66mm exhaust valve instead of a 64 or 69, when the new valve head came today it all went on no problem. so now just the normal fine tuning to get it all back up to running condition, thanks for the advice i really appreciate it.0

SMM but they were extremely helpful with getting that sorted out bout to change to a diff name for more help tho
So now it's running good but it has no power can't get up a hill it hits a loud rev then stutters losing movement and then surges back, I'm thinking the belt slipping but looking for all the things that could be causing that. Sorry for asking so much crap in disabled and need to get this running for dr appointments and such
