Hey folks, hopefully a simple one here:
When I am accelerating slowly at low RPM or cruising at say 5-10mph it feels like my belt is jerking or slipping like crazy. I’ve been making a lot of changes with my CVT lately, so I’m not sure what it is that usually causes this condition. Is it the belt actually slipping because of too much tension forcing the rear pulley together from the contra spring? Clutch slipping? Roller weights too light?

Kenho,I think but do not know for sure that the "sports" variators are designed to run with the OE belt size,I had issues with an over size belt that upset my slightly modded jog, maybe go back to basic and retune your CVT.

I’m thinking it’s just flat spots on the rollers maybe. Been doing a bunch of tuning and tweaking and pretty much running exclusively tuning weights recently because I’m swapping them out so often. I think since they’re tuning weights they’re getting flat spots very quickly from excessive use and causing the jerky accelerations.
My best guess so far, but it seems to get better when I swap weights.
