I don't know anything about those carbs really. Should be a good product if it comes from Polini. That will require a cable operated choke as it is setup. They may offer other options though. The 19 and 21mm DellOrto PHBG is probably the most common carb around here. Works well with a stock intake and airbox (36mm adapter) and parts aren't hard to come by. Can be cable or lever/pull choke. They tend to work well on most mild/sport Minarelli stuff.
A lot of the numbers will basically be manufacturer coding and then you'll have to see what it actually is. Round slides are kind of the standard. Flat slides are supposed to potentially be more responsive and efficient, but are often said to be harder to tune. I've never tried a flat slide to tell you from first hand experience.

Those CP are great, you can get them with a knob choke. Uses Keihin style jets.
