Hello, recently i had and accident and i bent the clamp that hold the forks together to the stem on my 2016 vip boom 50, I couldn’t find a parts scooter that is the same model but i found several taotao 50s, is the steering stem the same in both?, can i get that taotao and swap the stem?, both of them are 10in wheels

Take some measurements and look at the 2 and see if everything lines up.

Odds are that if both scooters are the 'basic' version, starter models with stamped steel wheels, the fork components will likely be interchangeable. The suggestion to measure was good. I think the basic chassis of the various machines are made by the OEM, so they are not bought from a supplier. May be wrong. But, it may be that they all copied the same design, with various small design differences. Measure the distance between the two forks up at the 'tree', and then down at the axle. Compare. Measure the distance from the bottom of the steering shaft, the lower bearing on the shaft, to the top bearing, where the two fasteners are located, the top bearing race and the 'jam nut'. If they are the same, and a width measure of both bearings is comparable, they'd likely interchange with little difficulty. If you have the owners manual, you might find the part number to get an OEM replacement should you want to be absolutely sure it will fit. I think there are Taotao parts listings on the web, but you'll have to search. Note, you may have damaged more than you think if the part that got obviously bent was the 'tree' clamp area. It takes a lot of force transferred up through the actual fork tubes to get that thing to bend, so the fork tubes may be suspect. I think the actual moving part is hidden from casual observation behind a shield, so be sure that the forks are not damaged also. tom
