imgur.com/gallery/kH4XRtj as you can see my belt comes only a bit more than half way up the variator my scoot is a minarelli aprilia sr 50 with leo vince zx and 4 gram roller weights(rest is stock) the bike accelarets nicely to about 25mph and then starts accelarating very slowly to about 38 mph and thats its top speed What would you recommend to change ?

How old is your belt? Is the ECU derestricted? What are your top RPM's? Where is the belt sitting on the clutch and variation? On my Piaggio SR50 when I run 4 gram weights it is very slow to accelerate. I don't get full travel and my engine techs at 10,000rpm with an unrestricted ECU. The ECU restriction is just 8000rpm so with the light weights you just can't get full travel.

The belt has no tear on it.I’mnot sure if the ecu is derestricted but the engine revs nicely.

I’d say about 9-9.5k rpm.

And while your in there that variator plate (the one with the fins) will need replacing, your belt looks too good to me,the variator looks like it used to enjoy full travel? I,d guess someone has put the wrong belt on and walked away, try to find out the correct belt size and compare yours.

check the slide fingers too. those are a wear item and will cause the variator to bind up. the fins missing on your variator plate will also cause a massive imbalance at high rpms and could ruin your crank. which would certainly cause belt travel to suffer. check your weights too and make sure they dont have flat spots excessive wear or have flattened its happened to me before.
