Hi peps I'm having a issue with my starting and charging, I've been through the bikes wiring and not found anything obvious, I get voltage ac at stupid low speed, gently pushing the kickstart or as the electric start as nearly stopped but no voltage at full cranking speed, I've replaced the stator and flywheel with the same results.

Just to help out a little; chippy was e-mailing me about this and I told him he should post here because I wasn't quite sure what would cause his issue. It's a pitbike style 4T engine. He said that with the stator disconnected from the rest of the harness, he can get 20+VAC at very low RPM. Very low meaning slowly cranking by hand or with the kick starter. Then once RPM picks up to even typical electric starter speed, voltage disappears. He told me he has replaced the stator twice and the flywheel. My first suspicion was the meter used to measure this, but he says he has tried 2. I don't recall seeing one put out power at really low RPM only and then stop. I'd like to see 50VAC cranking, but I don't test while hand cranking slowly.

I've changed the stator and flywheel, and also put a basic electric start wiring loom which is regulator, starter solenoid, battery connection still doing the same thing,I can blip the starter getting well over 20v AC power and I'm getting voltage back through the earth wiring also.coil has been disconnected
