Bought a pull knob choke for my 21mm dell clone carb it screws in fine but gets completely locked up and won't let me twist open so I can use the knob to choke the carb so I can start my scoot without using starter fluid any help on why it's not working right, I've checked clearance issues even took Emery cloth and tried to smooth end of choke to see if it was rubbing no luck even took a little 2t oil and lubed the end of the choke still no success it's a phbg clone with screw on top

I think I finally figured it out Ryan I think it's seating too far down and not letting the spring work correct, I link it need a thin shim so it gives me clearance so spring works I'll report back

Strange. Just to make sure we are on the same page, it operates by pulling the knob up, then turn it 90 degrees so it will rest on the stops which keeps it from closing. Then you do the same to drop it back down into closed position.

Yeah geek just the normal pull and twist to turn on and twist to turn off it makes no sense I'm thinking the machining on the carb is off causing issues
