with the throttle needle setting pin on the lowest setting will make the needle sit higher ""the needle that moves up and makes you go faster by giving it more fuel the more you pull the throttle the higher the needle goes so when you are at full throttle and have the needle clip on the lowest setting to raise the needle up more like when twisting the throttle? wouldn't this give you more speed .....Adly rt50 2 Stroke Scooter 72cc polini bbk 19mm stock carb 1Pe40QMB Engine 90 main jet open pod filter 44mph no problem but no faster 6.5 g rollers stock and stock variator with ebay cheapo exhaust picks up good speed from 33 up to 44 ////also wondering if putting on the stock pipe would give me same top speed and just even more power cuz i lost low end take off with ebay performance pipe but it it works really well for me when i go from 33 to 44 i ride in traffic alot i know i said a lot all mixed up here but any input is appreciated thank you......

Dropping the clip on the jet needle richens the mixture,if it runs best that way,try a 95 main, then try putting the clip in the middle position..There are also many different jet needles of varying tapers to further tune it..Welcome to the bewildering world of carb tuning!

You might need lighter rollers to match the pipe

Matlock, were here to help but please use just one thread to get one scoot sorted, you seem to be getting there but you need to follow a plan ,take notes etc and change one thing and test make notes and test again.spend some time reading the tec section of the forum.your top speed is restricted by belt travel and variator movement, you might need a "sports" variator and a belt around 750mm there is no "answer" it depends on your setup and skill set to take it past the 30mph design spec,I don't,t bother looking anywhere else than here for info.

well thanks guy i got the bike in the house earleier and i took off ebay pipe and put on stock it did a wheelie real easy 70cc sport malossi kit but then i put the ebay pipe back on because my speed was only 39 mph with the pipe i can do 42 easy then i see 43 44 gps verified but since i switched pipe i here like a sputter type noise at full throttle not all the time but once in a while when i hold it on stand nand rev to see how it sounds it revved up fine before but now it sometimes spuuters while at full throrttle loike once every 10 seconds randomly i have a 90 main jet and open pod filter im thinking to put stock airbox back on and cut holes with a knife maybe the pod has to much random air flow also when i put the exhaust back on i felrt under exhaust for air leaks and i felt gas on my hand coming out of exhaust port is this ok what do i do from here? i will try lighter rollers when i get mpore cash next month but what can i do now to smooth out the full throottle when it ran fine befroe i switched the exhaust?

If you are running the open filter. You need to look at the plug to see what the jetting is like. Don't go and cut random holes in the standard air box. This will make it junk. The speed is limited by the standard exhaust. It is not designed to rev very high. If you look at this dyno sheet, you will see the standard type exhausts will never give you a high too speed. They lose power the higher they rev. www.pedparts.co.uk/c/asset/sports-pipe-blog/70ccPolini.png
