If you are working with the TD spring, why not pop the cover off and pull the pins, clean and grease it all, reassemble and try again???

yes it can. besides the bearings that ride on the trans shaft, the slots that it slides open and close can get sloppy and which can cause binding. have you done a plug chop yet? I still think its running rich with a small 10%+- chance it could be lean. If the cvt doesn't fix your issue, check your plug. im guessing its running rich and youll have to drop a size or 2 on the main jet.

I now must have multiple issues. Performance just getting worse and worse over the last few days. I had put a new carb on a few months ago and it started right up consistently after i put the correct 90 size jet in, before it would not start because too lean, i figured that out when i covered the intake with a rag and it would start every time. Now all of sudden it wwont start again. I pulled the plug and it definitely shows hot. Ughhhh 😫. Thr only thing that comes to mind is that last week when. I had scooter all apart i saw a clamp to the carb was sitting to high on thr hose so i moved it back over the nipple and i noticed a strong indentation on the hose. Perhaps it cut it open and is allowing air in. ? It will not start normal, high idle, and extreme poor performance It will be a miracle if it is running properly by the time thr scooter meetup is.

I will repost a new pic of plug it actually looks great and the oil drip you saw i think was not oil fouled, thpugh i do add a lot of extra to the tank fot precautions. The plug is a NGK BR8HS. Besides thr problem with the torque pulley iys running very nice. I had everything apart again amd back together. There may be an intermittent air leak. I taped around where i thought one may be. But it stsrts beautiful, idles and is really ripping when thr torque pulley doesn't hang up. I dremelled insode the rear bell and the clutch and its connecting/ grabbing very good.
