How can I tell if an exhaust will fit a generic 2t Chinese scooter, the motor is a 1E40QMB, the exhaust port does exit the bottom of the head. I found one that looks interesting and the description says it will fit a
Horizontal Minarelli Yamaha Zuma BWS 2002 - 2011?

It will likely fit if the chinarelli ex port was machined to Yamaha specs, usually some mount bracket work (slotting/redrilling) will get it fitted properly...

it should fit if it says 1pe40qmb or 1e4qmb the difference is the p stands for emissions control box coming off the exhaust it will most definitely connect to the engine but as far as the 2 bolts that hold it on to the mover on the side of bike they may or may not line up most likely one will line up you may have to modify the other hgol if you want 2 bolts but you will be ok

The bugeye Zuma Exhaust is slightly different than the Minarelli clone exhausts, and do not technically fit one another without modification. Here's a good exhaust that is specifically for the Minarelli Clone engine: www.partsforscooters.com/190-61-LeoVince-TT-ExhaustMatt

Exhausts for the Zuma, or for any other true Minarelli like in a Malaguti do not fit the clone engines properly without modification. But why buy an exhaust you need to modify if you can get an exhaust designed to fit right from the start? (Yes, I know. Cost... but still.) Matt

usually i have looked at pipes from diff manufacturers because nothing fits mine quite right anyways and the other reason is price/availability. sometimes u can get a pipe for a yamaha jog but u cant get that pipe for a minarelli or if you can its substantially more. would i rather spend 100 bux more and still modify bracket or should i spend less and not feel bad when i have to make it fit for 20 mins anyways? so long as its not for a vertical u can most likely make something work either way if your crafty just dont buy kymco parts or something like that. they are similar and some can work if im not wrong but most are just diff enough to not work.

KYMCO pipes won't work as their 2t engines are based on the Honda AF architecture. Jog pipes fit Minarelli clones without modification, whereas the Zuma and other Italian 2t bikes like Aprilia and Malaguti use the dedicated horizontal Minarelli pipe. Matt
