Hi! I have a bws 100 witch has nearly same a 90cc minarelli engine. To night I crashed my ride and cooling fan cover compleatly broken. Also most of the fan blades are also broken. O was really close to my home(1-2 km maybe) so I continue riding whit out cooling system. When I came to home engine refuses to stop! Turning key to off putting out the spark pulg cap also wont stop the bike. Engine runs whit out ignition! I was compleatly bloke off the Air intake to kill the engine. So mu question is what can cause this kind of thing? Over heating can cause preignition but this is not preignition i guess because engine runs very smootly whit out spurk plug cap. Maybe only the cylinder or cylinder head overheats so engine wont lockup but ignites the fuel when ıts compreased. Please help. This question is turning in my brain and i cant find the true ansver

How long was it running for? Like "dieseling" or engine run-on? I'm interested in where this thread goes.

I had no idea it was even possible for this to happen with a gasoline engine. Is that what makes the clakkity clakkity sound in old carbureted cars when they won't shut off? It's the gasoline combusting under pressure like diesel engines operate?

Guessing it was really hot, it was running with no cooling, the cooling fins are enclosed in tin and not getting any cooling air, surprised if didn't lock up once cooled off.

O guess only head overheats. If piston gest overheat engine must lock.

the only time I ever had that happen was from adding 3 ounces of 15% nitromethane (r/c airplane fuel) to a full tank of gas.
