I’ve must have messed up something up. I’ve been trying to fix my throttle, it’s gotten better but when it’s back enough it stutters at about the same point and starts making a high frequency squealing noise. I’ve tried adjusting everywhere. Is some sort of technique or something I’m missing? Do I need to clean it or replace it?

so when you give it throttle it stutters but i assume it was fine before this??? check the spark plug and clean the carb that should help unless you took that throotle apart for some reason and maybe moved the needle clip to wrong groove good luck and happy riding!!!

Sorry, I forgot to mention that at that point it doesn’t remand it feels as though it could snap. I took apart and cleaned the carburetor and had to mess with throttle cables. I didn’t take it completely apart but I altered it a lot. Spark plug is brand new also.

My recommendation would be to re-trace your steps with the throttle, cables and the cable connection to the slide. Often you can get binding in the cable from lack of lubricant or improper routing.
Easy fixes. Spray some lubricant into the cable sheathing from the handlebar end and have a beer. (Let it run down) When happy, work it some. Should feel better. If your routing was changed, you could be restricting the throttle in either direction.
Try to get it free so that it does not bind up when turning the bars fully to each side. If you move the bars and the rpm changes...you have a problem.

Thanks for the advice. I managed to get that fixed...but not too long after the engine would seize (I think that is the proper term). The RPMs got into the 10-11 thousand range.

If normal rpm is say...near 9000, then you were very likely running super lean and experienced some detonation. If it ran seemingly super good, just before it blew? Bad news.

I think you may be right, the spark plug was very fouled. I’ve left it alone since (mostly), I’m going to have it looked st.
