I also tried those, they helped but I opted for something else. BTW sometimes the little foam buttons get sucked out of those and into your carb or motor. Was 3 extra inlets enough?

I dont recall, it was such a PITA to tune I went to a stockish air box.

I dont really think much thought has been giving to the airflow. But on the fith picture, you can clearly see that its just two pvc pipes plug with foam, and the carb is being fed directly from that. Ño twist or turns to promote back pressure. The reduced intake noise probaly just comes from the soft plastic housing, absorbing alot of the unwanted sound. Also There is a fine line between dialing the carb down, and the airbox simply not delivering enough air, for optimal engine performance. Adding a few extra intakes would not hurt any air flow.
