Pertinent facts:
Viper 50 50mm BBK
Cam has: Intake Lobe (widest point): 25.78mm ;
Exhaust Lobe (widest point): 25.67mm ;
"Free flowing" stock exhaust - (Popped the end of the hotdog apart, dug all but the batting out and re-welded with a 1.25" outlet)
Running some no name import variator from the local scooter shop with 5gram rollers. Stock clutch with 1500k pad springs and a stock contra. Gates Kevlar on there.
Stock airbox with stockalike carb w/adjustable needle and 92 main. Needle is 2 notches away from fully lean.
I drive a lot of hills between here and work, with two REALLY big ones on either side of a river valley.
Scoot does fine on flat. GPS clocks it between 38-42mph. 45 indicated on speedo.
On hills, I can usually keep 30MPH on the really big ones, and 35 or more on mild to medium. Acceleration from a stop is so-so. 1-25 a little slow, 25+ is great.
Throttle seems to max out real quick for me. I.E. I think I'm being light on the throttle, and find I'm 3/4 or more already. Would a cable slide style carb alleviate this feeling by making the throttle more 'touchy' for me? Also, are there any performance gains out of the cable slide carbs?
I'm okay with manual choke. But the scoots pretty good as is, so if this won't dial anything in or help performance... I won't bother.

The vacuum operated slide reduces bogging when quick throttle is applied. The acelerator pump only helps with this.

Sounds about right. Wasn't thinking bout accelerator pump. Was thinking crisper throttle with the cable slide, but not gonna make a difference with vacuum at lower RPMS on this; without an AP. Thanks.
