Hello guys, the bolt that holds my exhaust to the cylinder snaped, and to renove it costs more than buying a replacement. I was thinking, if maybe i could install the DR70 evolution kit, on my stock crankshaft? Anyone has experience with instaling 70cc to stock crankshafts? I saw one guy put the stage 6 streetrace, wich is more powerfull than the dr evo, on a stock aerox crankshaft?

stock cranks arw rated for 10 thousand rpm a race cylinder can easily exceed this with a performance exhaust so in short to be on safe side yes replace crank however if you install a sport kit such as polini or malossi sport you can keep the stock crank because those kits are happy around 9500 10,000

I think it also depends which scoot your putting it on. I’ve noticed the 12mm pin cranks with large 16mm taper can handle more abuse and last longer than stock Yamaha cranks (10mm pin 13mm taper) An NCY 70 kit with Leo Vince ZX Pipe lasted about about 2000 miles before complete crank/bearing failure on my Zuma (BWS 50) On the other hand the Stage 6 Streetrace 70 which exceeds 10,000 rpm daily, is still ripping on a 14,000 mile stock 1e40qmb crank. Additionally, I’m still running the stock oil pump but adding 2-3 capfuls of Maxima 927 castor oil.
