Have you tried the starter button, with: Key ON, at least one brake lever pulled tight(so the light comes on)?
If you have tried, then you'll have to check power and ground at the starter relay. Power can come from the brake light circuit, or the switch. Ground can come from the starter button, or be grounded all the time. Two designs are used as far as I have seen. You will need a VOM and/or a test light to make things 'visible'. Check also that the fuse is not blown. If you don't have brake lights, key ON, levers pulled one-at-a-time, fix that first, as you don't want to be squished by someone when you apply the brakes. Might just make the starter work. A simple test to check the starter motor, cables, ground, and battery would be to jumper the large terminals on the starter relay, sending power directly to the starter motor. It WILL spark if/when you jumper across the terminals. tom

All of the above . Just like grumpyunk said jump the solenoid with a screwdriver and see if it fires up . all the wires connected or from what you can see ? If it fires up from the solenoid look and see if it has a fuse inline it should round bus fuse in black screw off holder i think maybe it's blown . They never had any issues with wiring should be easy to track down .
