Recently I have replaced thr belt, the variator, the clutch and Bell. I have mixed and matched things. I am on 2nd belt because i believed i ruined the first from slippage. Which i thought was the variator. But the new multivar variator had bad post sliders that messed up the shifting. I finally replaced the molossi guide clips with others and that seemed to allow it to finally variate. But the whole time i always saw greasy oily residue on the cvt cover. Now today i saw it on clutch pulley. I replaced the clutch pulley ans clutch, cleaned the Bell put it back. Went on 5 minute ride barely made it back totally slipping like ice, pulled it all again and a greese film is all over new stage6 clutch pads, pulley and cvt cover. Im about to give up, where is this coming from?? Ive owmed this scooter for years, NEVER had barely any problems ever, now its been a nightmare for 2 months. I see no oil/ grease dripping or seeping from any engine seals into the CVT area. Ugh.

Gotta be a gearbox seal seeping, pull the torque driver and look the shaft seal over carefully...

Ive had the torque driver off a dozen times in the last month, investigating everything. . I think i would have noticed something leaking already. I do notice a gease on the torque drive bearings, its like a sticky honey. But doesn't appear to be alot in there

In order for so much grease / oil to migrate all over I would think you would have a very obvious trail coming down from either shaft seal. Seems more likely its getting flung outward from the inners of the driven pulley. Dismantle and clean driven pulley.

If it's not the gearbox seal. The only other thing is the torque drive seal must of gone. This will let some grease escape.

Darn i just returned the 38mm socket to auto zone next door to my storage. I am looking at my original torque pulley and another aftermarket one. Idk, what i see is maybe that bottom seal *possibly * could be pushed out away to all the way to the bottom when putting that cover/spring holder back in place allowing some to be thrown.

Your talking about the grease that is supposed to help the torque pins slide.?

you can get that 38mm off with a large adjustable wrench. hold the clutch assembly sideways in your hands and smack the handle of the wrench on the ground or other solid surface, to break it loose. then you just hold the spring tight with your feet, and you should be to take it the rest of the way off with your fingers. putting it back on, you just reverse the process.
maybe put a mark before you take it off so you can line it back up when installing, if you are worried about getting it tight enough, but the torque value on that nut is pretty low. its mostly held on with spring tension

There is a lot of grease in the one I just took off, not sure how much is in the one I just added on. My bike just hasn't been the same . Im not digging the Molossi variater either it seems to just want to rev high , nust be the different ramps inside . So depressed .

Different brand variator will always need fine tuning. You can't just expect to use the same weights you had in your last one. I have had Malossi Multivar on three different scooters. Always worked well for me.

The Malossi Multivar variator comes as a kit with its own weights that were almost DOUBLE what I was running and still revs way crazy high. But to say these things might not be fair as I am having so many issues, I cant give any of it a fair test. Just depressed at moment .
Im glad someone thinks its good , gives me hope . Let me ask you were you able to get a better top speed out of it or no ? I always had respectable take off and pick up but good top end , now its non existent .

yes the multivar is great, nothing other than polini touches it. I suggest you try both/
this doesn't address you problem though
