I fitted a polini variator and had minor fitting problems but only spacers were needed to fix it,the multivars are designed to improve acceleration (a tad) and give a little more top end 1to5mph did both for me,I think you may have got something wrong, consider going back to stock then if your happy the scoot runs OK fit the variator, retune to suit then fit the clutch ,tune to suit, keep notes at each stage.most retailers sell parts as plug and play but they are fit and adjust .

What makes it so great ? Have you gotten better top end or bottom ?
I do not see any noticeable physical differences really . I do understand something with the ramps are different but I cant see it .

It will give you a few MPH more than standard. But much better control of the revs.

So after some thinking and reading I realized something, I don't get any shift people talk about. It just revs real high and that's it. It was soooooo much better stock.

Kymcos do not have splines . The basket fits on the Boss and you tighten the end sheive which does have splines. Everything sold , nothing has play. The only thing I can think of now on my SECOND replacement belt that got grease on it ( even though I now sprayed it with cleaner , scrubbed it clean ) has oily Chinese fake grease still in it from faulty torque driver seals and over packing.

It would appear from other threads you have resolved this issue,it would be nice to know what the solution entailed, others may benefit from your work.
