My scooter doesn't take of at the same rpm it starts high then lowers en then climbs back up anyone any ideas to fix this ?

That is the action of stock torque drivers and the angle of which they open and close. They are designed to function that way. It basically gives you good high-rev power to take off, then settles to a lower, more fuel efficient RPM. I like to swap them out with straight-groove torque drivers like this one: SSP-G Torque DriverHere's a video how to install them:

Would lighter roller weights also help ?

And does an aftermarket air filter give you extra performance ? As long as you have the correct jetting (most of the time you need to upjet to match the extra amount of air being introduced into the engine).
