I am having so much problems with my exhaust leak unable to resolve .
I snapped a stud off the other day trying to tighten one side thinking its was not tight enough . I thankfully replaced them with bolts after I tediously removed the studs . I have used gasket silicone , and doubled up on gasket material and still super loud. I took a small piece of paper towel and with a glove on held it up to the one side where you can see leakage oil splatter and with the other hand reved up the engine and you could see the towel push away. I just wanted to check because I feel like im going crazy. Last thing I want to do is spin a sleeve if that is whats in there.

Sounds like your exhaust isn't lining up properly. If you undo the bolts supporting the exhaust. And tighten up the exhaust port bolts, does it all still line up?

Ive tried doing that and it seems like it does. Again it seems like I can tighten the bolts more after I thought they were tight already. Are these sleeves in there ?
Ive owned this for more then a decade.

What type of gasket are you using,as Paul said tighten the manifold end first then the support bolts, you need special exhaust seal paste not silicone,do not over torque the manifold side.

What Paul has said I've done half a dozen times.

Thank you.

There are threads. I have never seen any kind of "sleeves" for exhaust studs. Are they stripped? A picture would likely help us to help you.

Drilled and tapped into the cast iron of the barrel, have you got a product that specifically says for exhaust sewing ?

If you could see my face , I am dumbfounded , When I turn the bolts in by them selves they go all the way and stop. When I got all the gaskets and pipe there it just seems to tighten up alittle more each time . Ughhhhh

I don't know what kind of picture I could take that would be helpful. I have posted many pics of the exhaust port on here over the roughly last 8 weeks . I pulled the studs out because I snapped one off and now using bolts . Its so strange , the only way I could snap it you would think is if it was tight ( threads good ) and I twisted it off.

If they keep coming loose, the threads are likely oversized. You tighten them up, run the motor for a while. There is intense heat in that area, the heat expands the holes a bit and the bolts loosen up. You only option is to properly tap the holes out to the next larger size and install proper studs.

Oh , not what I meant . I could just go back outside and they seem to tighten more , or a ride around the block . But I just tried something a bit a go , I loosened the non leaking side several turns and then just kept tightening the other side , it snugged up then I tightened the other, and for a minute is was quit meaning no backfires , but then I started to hear some and went to look at the bolts and it seems like the washer on that leaking side is missing. So I took it out and was gonna to add a washer to it and then I just lost it somewhere in under the scooter. Im waiting for it to cool down.
