I need mirrors. For two or three scooters...lol
The first set I bought were small and garbage. Any suggestions on mirrors?

I use the same thing that Ryan talked about and linked to. I like the bar end for looking clean and not seeing my shoulders. They are convex as well, so you get a pretty good field of view.
There are negatives though. One is that you have to look away to see them, vs regular mirrors that are much closer to your normal field of view. The other is that your scoot gets wider. Could be an issue in tight spots, like for lane splitters. I only use 1 on my left side, but that does kinda suck when anything is near you to the right like when I rode with other people. In open areas, the 1 mirror works as well as both standard mirrors on my TMAX I think.
Oh, and sometimes the cheap mirrors do actually prevent damage to other things if the bike falls over. When I crashed last year, my bar end mirror was ground away but it looked like it saved the more expensive handlebars and some other stuff.

I think if you're most concerned about visibility and safety, the stock "antenna style" mirrors are the best because, like Brent said, you don't overt your eyes from the road to view them and they give you the best field of view. Circular bar end mirrors are my next choice after the stock style. Good field of view and look better than stock. Those folding ones look very nice...
I would just avoid narrower bar end mirrors. I had a pair on my last scoot that were shaped kind of like arrow heads and the field of view on them was quite poor and narrow.

I think I'm not like most of you guys- I want giant mirrors. I like functional ; and safe . So I just ordered these. - www.jpcycles.com/product/751-598/drag-specialties-die-cast-replacement-low-rider-mirror-stem the page didn't give any specs , so I called them 1st before ordering; said they're 11" ; I'm guessing the long is 8 or 9" and the short end 3 or 4 . here's what I'm gonna put on the end of them - super cheap plastic backed with small clamp . these are intended for tractors, riding lawnmowers or ? they're like 4" x 8" right now I have 2 - 4x6" Emgo plain chrome backed 10mm threaded end - if you want them let me know . don't remember them being pricey; can't see selling them . just cover shipping
