I’d use a brass tee, not plastic. Just connect to the fuel tank outlet... in my case that would be the petcock.

Only my experience,I have used 3 types of fuel pipe all sold on e bay as fuel pipe,
Clear plastic, went hard then brittle Braided on the outside rubber, split at the ends Silicone ish blue "racing pipe" snapped at carb all 5mm I d all resulting in breakdowns ,road side self fix so no big deal,I have just fitted some internal braided rubber hose which conforms to SAE30 which is a recognised quality in Europe.I hope this is a long term fix.

I recently bought this - not sure , I may have bought the wrong size. anyway when I was searching around I read some complaints and controversies about " quality fuel line" . it's hard to know what's what. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BL18Z1T/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I got some from PFS that I have on now but it's time to replace it . turning black at carb and intake/vacuum ports. if I'm only getting a small item shipping kills me . I get most all my motor parts from them .

Most of the time when I buy tubing, fuel, vacuum, heater, etc I get 10-20' lengths. All the clear line seems to turn yellow over time. The little plastic vacuum 'T' parts seem to hold up well to pure gasoline.

Is there an RC car shop in your area?
If so, do they sell nitro RC cars/trucks there?
I go to an RC hobby shop here and they sell yellow Tygon lines that are made to handle gasoline. They sell lots of other transparent/colored fuel tubing, all in different colors, but those are specifically for Nitro. The yellow Tygon is specific for gasoline. The shop i go to has 2 sizes on spools. The small size i use for oil injection coming off the oil pump. The larger size i use as fuel line and the supply line from the oil reservoir to the oil pump.

Auto parts stores have a small engine section that will have fuel and oil line tubing, usually in small packages.

Some guys at the counter don't know crap. Walk around the store, you will find lawnmower air filters, mufflers, spark plugs, and fuel/oil line all near the same spot. Sometimes in a back corner or endcap on a display. Ask for lawn mower spark plugs or mufflers. They might know where those are. The ignorant sods probably have no idea what the 'tubing stuff' is called or what it is for. You can also find fuel line at small engine repair shops. The telephone is worthless...
