Hello. Im looking for a handlebar stem that will fit a kymco super 8. The steering shaft is 24,2mm, maybe a honda zoomer / ruckus stem will fit? Im not a 100% sure, what the diameter is on a honda ruckus/zoomer. Maybe some of you guys can confirm that for me.
But if you happen to know of a stem that will fit a 24,2mm shaft, please let me know ;D

I use a BMX stem on one of my scoots. Standard 1 1/8" BMX stem, with a shim between it and the steer tube. The shim was an aluminum pipe cut to length, then we cut a slit down the side to allow it to pinch. Should be about 28mm on a standard BMX stem, so you'd need about a 2mm thick pipe. Say 24mmm ID and 28mm OD, about 30mm long. After you cut the slit in it, you'll be able to get it over the fork tube, and then slide the BMX stem over it.
The BMX stems can clamp anywhere from 22.2mm handlebars up to 31.8mm handlebars (at the clamp, grips area stil 22.2) depending on the model.

Do you know if you can get a straight bmx clamp? Because I do not have room for the bars to hang over the front fairing.

You would need a "zero offset" style like they use in Flatland BMX. I think Odyssey still sells a zero offset. They are common in the MTB world too.

Sounds like a good option, I maybe like the look of this a little more : ruckhouse.com/en/styling-parts-handlebar-stems/370189-handlebar-stem-ruckhouse-chrome-honda-ruckus.htmlBut it may be harder to get it to work. I have contacted the seller, and they have informed me that its inner diameter is 24mm The only problem would then be to mount it securely. It has a 21mm screw hole that allows it to be mounted with a screw through the steering shaft, so no claming. The screw hole sits about 1 cm from the top of the steering shaft, so I would have to drill hole in the shaft for it to mounted There is already a hold in the steering shaft, for when the original handlebars where mounted. But it sits about 5-6 cm from the top of the shaft, maybe it could be filled out with a bit of welding. But what do you guys think?

TRS has a stem I like because it has an add on piece that bolts on and is a vapor mount.
