I enjoyed that, very interesting video I did notice thought that on the see through carburettor that they made (for simplicity i guess) they didnt have an idle circuit. Its actually quite common for people to have the carb set up with the throttle too high on idle, and the engine is idling on the main jet and not the idle jet. How many times have you seen someone post something like: it doesnt matter what I do with the mixture screw, turn it all the way in or out it doesnt make any difference to the idle... That is why

messenger the coolest part for me is watching the drop of fuel get pulled up, hover, and then explode into microdroplets upon the intake pulse.

messenger the coolest part for me is watching the drop of fuel get pulled up, hover, and then explode into microdroplets upon the intake pulse. yes was very cool I like to think i have a reasonably good understanding of how a carb works, ive read a lot about them, messed around a lot with them, modified them on cars, scoots and motor bikes... but up to now apart from illustrations in books.. I have never actually seen what goes on inside one . I found it most fascinating

It is a cool video that I have seen before. It is educational for some. I wish they would do some for more complex carbs.

i was thinking a clear PWK carb on a DIO engine with clear intake manifold. that would be neat to see. im interested in seeing what happens to the intake charge after the reed valve.
