It would appear that it's more like double. I don't think you're going to change this without enough electronics knowledge to modify the tach. I didn't think about it at first, but I have to have my tach set to 2 pulses per revolution for the MVT vs the normal 1 PPR with the standard 2T iggys. When I first got it going, I revved it up and my tach shot up to 19,999 on 1 PPR.

Dang. So I'm gonna need a new unit just to get it to work properly. I could probably dissect the gauge cluster and install aftermarket ones? But wouldn't I run into the same issue? Or would I need a tach that can make adjustments for the readings it makes.

We've had plenty of people replace stock gauge clusters with aftermarket units and make them look nice. Added bonus that you can have an accurate speedometer as well as temp functions on many of them.
You just need a tach that allows you to select PPR. I'm used to Trail Tech stuff and they'll do 0.5, 1 or 2PPR. Check whatever you're interested in and it should tell you.

And sure they look cool but don't seem feasible. They state for 4 strokes and 1 and 2 cylinder. Any aftermarket units you can recommend,?

If you were just after a tach, then these are decent units. The main drawback is that they have no backlight and there are cheaper options, but they've been good units in my experience. amzn.to/333AzYQMy go-to is the Trail Tech Vapor for a multi-function gauge. They don't sell the exact kit that I used on 4-5 different projects of mine anymore, but you could probably contact Trail Tech and get a recommendation based on what sensors you need. I did a 3 part video series about them (part 1 linked below). amzn.to/3ndssA6youtu.be/j6Z_hAhJJ2MStage6 makes one : www.scootertuning.ca/en/electronics-speedometers/21019-speedometer-stage6-orange.htmlKoso makes a whole lot of nice stuff, but some have pretty hefty price tags : kosonorthamerica.com/You can find quite a few generic Chinese gauges on eBay, amazon and AliExpress. They don't always have great instructions, but some members have been pretty happy with what they got for way less than the name brand stuff and some do look pretty cool. amzn.to/3GreRwgI've used the Trail Tech stuff personally, both the Vapor and the TTO tach. Check to be sure about PPR with the others.

I've just installed digital ignition same just not mvt, I have new digital koso rs2 gages, it has a plug to go stright to + coil but I get nothing when I use, another is it stator ,well we don't have, and other old school wire around plug lead, I tryed that works perfectly hope you sort it out, wiring is my Achilles heal

I found this looks neat DKMOTORK 0011 Digital Gauge Motorcycle Speedometer/Tachometer/Odometer Universal with Multi-Function Indicator Light Display Black www.amazon.com/dp/B07WW3L3Y8/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_W7XHWB8Y6JJA9TKXXEDAThen saw this Trail Tech 752-119 Black Vapor Digital Speedometer Tachometer Gauge Kit, 1995-2019 KTM Honda Yamaha Kawasaki Suzuki www.amazon.com/dp/B07CBJD4Z9/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_B0W4DBQW4R2XQ6XDZ93VI like the options it has just no turn signals or any indicator, I'd like to use to kinda keep a stockist look Also found this neat one Universal Motorcycle Speedometer Tachometer Digital Odometer Fit for All Motorcycles with DC 12V,Adjustable for 7 Colors www.amazon.com/dp/B08213XVDG/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_J0PQX2C0B83JYZQ7CSD2I've installed this one a friend's bmw but his Tachometer never worked so I'm iffy on fitment and for the tach to work Then this neat one has the speedo cable adapter but no guarantee on rpm to work and would be simple to gut the stock gauges and implement this one in its place for the left side, maybe use small led for indicators, high beam etc. Seems like there's lots of choices and sizes to work with, just gotta figure out what will work

If you are really concerned with minimizing add-ons, 1 indicator could be used for both left and right signals. Just don't wire them together to a single terminal of a switch without taking any other measures, because that will turn your turn signals into hazard lights whenever either side is used. I believe you'd need to put a diode on the + of each lead going to the switch so L&R don't power each other. Also, make sure you get LEDs intended for 12V. I made the mistake of just picking LEDs that looked like automotive use and looked how I wanted them to... and they lasted till the first time I used a signal or high beam.

I got these really cool old school looking led lights that I was thinking of redoing on my miata for a vintage dash that I could possibly use for the turn signals and headlights, I know I have white green and yellow little ones. Now I'm wondering if anyone had a 3d printer to help me make the gauge face for it 😅 any pointers?

Here's a post by ryan_ott showing how he mounted his Vapor in the stock gauge location of a Zuma. 49ccscoot.proboards.com/post/317110/threadWhen I had the stock hbar cover on my TaoTao, I just cut a piece of ABS and glued it in place where the gauges used to be then screwed the Vapor to the top.

Those signals look just like what I had on my Roketa. Those are the ones that blew out. Could have been a regulator issue or something, but I'd at least test them before installing to be sure .

Great idea! Gonna look into this idea with this gauge cluster. I should make a build thread of this scoot but I think I'll do that when the 50 blows.

So the goodies arrived but just confused as to making this work. I was gonna de pin and give power first then connect it like it's a factory wiring setup. But I'm garbage at reading wiring diagrams (I need an adult!) So now gotta look over the diagram and see what corresponds with what. I know you had a triton. Was the wiring situation similar looking @90gtvert?

Im very proud to say I got it working properly for rpm I had to switch from 1 cylinder to 2 cylinder to 4 cylinder and my rpms are reading more accurately now Buuuuut. I can't use the connection for the rpm gauge I initially used. Which confuses me on which wire is it? The vento zip has multiple black and white wires that come out to the stem. I may just end up making a new wire and feeding it all the way down to the coil. Then work on the abs trimming for it. And have the gauge fit perfectly dead center to replace the old gauges.

Problem solved. Used the connector that was separate and wired it in and used all connections from factory while being repinned.
