Hello guys I have a 2003 Metropolitan, everything but the headlight works and runs great. There is absolutely no current running to the headlight connector, I verified current is running through the dimmer switch. The only clue I have is that the headlight indicator light does not illuminate on the dash. Would this be a possible ECU issue I also read elsewhere the issue could be caused by a faulty voltage regulator. Let me know your thoughts, worst case scenario I have to splice the headlight directly into the battery.

Before doing major re-wiring, get a copy of the schematic for your Honda. Most have the headlight powered from the generating system, while other items are battery powered when the key is ON. Take a look at the wires leading from the power source. The China machines mostly have two - one to power the headlight, the other to power everthing else. If the wire from the source is bad, the reg/rec can't send it on to the headlight. If the reg/rec is bad, same deal, but easier to fix - replace the reg/rec. China bikes have a yellow and a white wire for most that connect the generated power to the reg/rec. Check for output on the white & yellow wires, engine running. tom

GrumpyUnk, this is a Honda ECU, whole different ballgame.
Go to menu, left of page Honda Met service manual P 19-3 or P 304 pdf
I can't see the diagram very clear but... I think the headlight hots are always hot through dimmer switch I think the headlight ground gets switched in the ECU similar to automotive ECU's
If so, I would: Disconnect the headlight's ground wire from the wire harness (ECU may not like this kind of playin) Jumper headlight ground to chassis ground and check for light Report back
