Moped losses power when accelerating

My adly bullseye 50 has had problems with accelerating since I got it 0 used. Sometimes I can accelerate wot for a couple seconds but losses power. If drop throttle it will idle fine but occasionally needs to be blipped to keep it from dying. I have cleaned the carb and checked float function. All seems to be OK. I’ve messed around with the washer on the needle on the slide and it seems to do better lower on the needle. Higher on the needle gives me grayish smoke. I don’t have a sense of smell so I can’t smell for un burnt fuel. Please help
