Should the Mikuni pilot jet have a passage straight through?

I watched this video and have this Pilot Jet on my Vento Zip scooter, what appears to be the Mikuni VM22/210, though I am uncertain of the internal diameter.

The carburetor was very gummed up when I first dismantled it. I'm able to to get a wire through all of the jets and passages on the carb except the pilot jet. I do not see light and am also unable to blow through the pilot jet, though I am able to see that the passages running through the sides of the barrel are clear at least. Can anyone confirm that the pilot jet should have a passage way straight through from end to end?

Yes it should. The hole might be so small that it's hard to see though. Try holding it up to the sky on a sunny day
