Alright guys here's the scoop. I have a baccio dlx50 scooter with a 1pe40qmb motor. as far as upgrades it has a bbk, an expansion pipe, performance CDI, a BR8hs spark plug, 19mm carb with a 95 main jet, a performance ignition coil and full racing CVT system inlcuding;bell housing, kevlar belt, clutch, 1500 clutch springs, 1500 contra spring, variator and 6g roller weights.
It has been running great lately, I spared no expense in my upgrades always saving up to buy the better parts available. Now, here lies my issue...and I have no idea what went wrong. I went out one night, and I was having some issues getting it started, I would have to start it a few times and give it gas, and it would die and die again but eventually I could get it running just fine, possibly due to the fouled spark plug it had. and once i got it home and parked it, it was all well and good. It rained overnight.(I'm just including all the details I can). But the next morning when i went to leave for work, it wouldn't start. The issue being no spark. Since the problem surfaced I bought a new performance ignition coil, and new BR8HS spark plug. and still no spark (I thought maybe the coil was burnt out). I also tried plugging in the stock CDI thinking maybe I got water in the Performance one? Still no spark. I then thought that maybe it was the stator? But then someone on another forum told me that if the lights start to turn on as you crank your bike the charging system is working.( now that might be the wrong way of testing that). And the last details I have are that it hasnt rained in the last 6 days and the FL sun has surely dried everything up, and the bike does crank over with the electric starter, I just have no spark so I can't get her to start. Any advice would help, I might be able to get my hands on a voltage meter but I have no idea how to use it or know the wiring diagram either. I hate to pay for the scooter store nearby to tow my scooter and then run a diagnostic test probably totaling out to $200. I will if I cannot figure it out with your guys help but money is tight for me. Any advice is appreciated.
