Welcome to the forum I can pass on what several told me when I was looking to upgrade: If you're wanting long term reliability on the stock crankshaft and bearings, the 47mm big bore kit (72cc) will last a lot longer, the larger kits (50mm,52mm,etc) put a lot of stress on the bottom end of the motor. The 47mm/72cc upgrade does provide a lot more power and hillclimbing ability. I have no experience with the bigger kits. I hope my info helps; it's a little slow during late hours here, but I think youll get some more feedback, especially come tomorrow.

I have the kit in your first post. Well not that exact one, i didn't get a coil with mine. It is pretty decent. Not the highest quality, just the run of the mill chinese stuff. The exhaust pipe needs modification to fit right, but all in all its a good value.

Looks like a good buy, comes with exhaust and everything. Contact Scooters To Go (Member on the forum). They have a shop in Grand Rapids, MI. and sell complete engines with a 44mm stroker crank, all installed. Just need to put gears and axle on it. He also sells the stroker crank individually. You should get a better crank even if it's stock but with quality bearings. I've read enough threads about 50mm BBK engines going bye-bye in under 1,000 miles or less because of the crank, the bearings or the rod. A member Troll, did a thread on installing this motor in a Taotao VIP. 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/8340/2011-tao-vip-87cc-swap

I use 02starrider kits and am happy with them. If you dont see the kit you are looking for then send him an email and he can get a kit to fit your needs. Fast shipping and as far as the exhaust mods all you need to do is file some on the bottom mounting tab.

Best upgrade for the gy6 50cc engine is 47mm kit,A9 camshaft and a 15% biger jet with POD filter and free flow exhaust.
