Getting ready for a long trip tomorrow. About 100 miles one-way, at least the way I travel, getting to know all the twisty roads between here and Watkins Glen. However, I do get lost quite often and need to resort to my phone, at least when there is cell phone coverage. Decided to rig up a USB charger so I can just keep the map up the entire time without worrying about the battery dying. Not a perfect job, but it works. I also realize there may be weird electrical transients that could potentially blow things up... isn't that what that big inductor is for inside the USB adapter?! Bought a new Pugs plug Took out the guts and wired up +/- Re-installed guts Wired up to the former dash light, same thing I got the Trail Tech Vapor speedo wired into. Zip-tied the adapter upside-down, just in case it gets wet. I am a fair-weather rider, but the scoot often sits out in the rain when I am work or wherever. Tucked the cable in the stem hole, keeps it out of the way Ready to map it out!

Got in a nice little ride tonight, courtesy of a slight break in the heat wave we have been having. Only 84° today and mostly cloud till 2ish today. For whatever reason, the helmet was not so bad tonight. Possibly I am a bit dehydrated so my head is not so fat! Now that it is starting to break in, I have found pushing down on the top of it while simultaneously pulling up on the front, pops it into a better position. I actually kind of like the slight feeling of anonymity I get when wearing a helmet, if ya know what I mean? Glad the helmet look's like it's gonna work for you. It would be a bummer to spend that kind of money for something you can't use.

Cooler weather and I am not on call this weekend = 60+ mile ride tonight. After riding around some open roads I made my way to the Blvd. Lots of tourists here and the place was very parkinglotish! I love this scoot, it has been running so well. Carb is near perfect and a small tug on the bars at just the right time gets the front end up pretty easily. I have just the right amount of power with this combo that I dont think the scoot would come over on me.

Looks like it was a great ride fuzzyruttin . Nice pics. Even better when there are no break downs! I brought all the tools that might have been needed. Long story, the only thing that was helpful was duct tape - sis locked keys in the vehicle haha oops
