I have the stock spring in there and with the other belt it opens all the way. The torque driver opens all the way by hand with no binding. I'm gonna check the sharpie marks when I get home and see if the belt is riding higher or lower in the variator. I know its lower though cause I can slide this belt all the way into the torque driver until I cant cram the belt in any farther.

Well its got just over 9mm of travel left with the just over 800mm belt so I went ahead and ordered the longest belt seeing as how the belt width seems to be the deciding factor. I'll have the way long belt tomorrow so I'm hoping its too much belt cause if it is i can just put the spacer in between the variator halves and most likely deal with it until I can get a belt that's a little bit shorter. Maybe if I'm really lucky I'll get away with this belt size with a larger rear pulley in the future and can use this one as a spare. My bike seems to be another freak and everything is just a hair off from the norm on these.

What kind of scooter and motor? How long of a belt? Its a keeway fact but according to the previous owner the engine was replaced by a shop and I'm 99% sure its not an original engine. 1pe40qmb long case with the black cvt cover. The stock belt was a Bando 788-17-28 and I've tried all the way up to about 803-17-28. I ordered the longer one I linked in my post yesterday so that will be at my house when I get home to try out.

I would think you would need the 816 belt. Brent used that with his OR setup. Robert also had issues with his OR and torque springs. He ended up using Kymco and gy6 springs.

Where can I find one of these 816mm belts? I cant seem to find many specs with the malossi belts and just reference numbers back to their site that doesn't have specs and is in Italian.

It's a Malossi Kevlar #6111108. Gary at gforcemx.com has them.

Let Gary know Dave from Stuart sent you his way. He's been very good to deal with and I told him I'd refer him. Nothing in it for me just trying to help out.

Alright I deff will let him know you referred me. I like to give credit where its due as much as I can. If the tooth angle going to matter too much or should it be fine since its only a 2 degree difference?

I think it's fine. That's the belt for the OR. Mine is 30 also.

Alright thanks for that. I know they are supposed to work fine if the numbers aren't quite the same but with my luck its better to be safe than sorry.

Belt and a spare set of variator guides are ordered I always like having a spare set incase anything happens. I asked for Gary but he's on vacation so one of the ladies helped me and she was very nice. These people are very friendly and I plan on doing business with them again very soon. Its hard to find places that don't act like an automated message anymore. I almost ordered the belt from racing planet since they were in my state but I seen this place actually was too so I gladly sent my money their way. I'd rather support a small business instead of the big ones. Belt should be here tomorrow so fingers crossed this solves my woes and I can go back to enjoying my over range.

I didn't realize you were in Florida too. I'm going to make it down to Gary's shop soon. He's going to be getting a dyno and it's only 45 minutes away!

Hah yea I moved down here in search of a job due to the state I was in going down the drain literally. In some ways its worth it and in other ways not so much. I wish I had a bike worth dynoing lol but mines just a blast of a commuter. With 13k miles on a 2 stroke in sure my numbers would be good for a laugh and thats about it.
