Hello all-
I lucked into getting a brand new Harbor Freight portable tire changer and the motorcycle wheel adapter for $60. I need to get some concrete anchors and bolt it down. I am not sure why they call it a portable tire changer other than a person can carry it to move it unlike a big heavy machine. It will be useful to mount up my new trailer tires on my scoot.
I have been ignoring my scoot and concentrating on getting some work on the house done. The scoot is running well. I have a trailer partly constructed for my scoot also. I have lots of work still to be done but I am so slow.

I saw one at the track the guy made it fit his 2" receiver hitch. Works like a charm according to him. He was not using it when I noticed it. But it felt dam solid.

It would be real easy to mount on a hitch receiver. Was it mounted so the bottom of the center post was on/near the ground?
I will be polishing up the ends of the tire tool to avoid tire damage. I may also weld a barrel bolt to the adapter to restrain it from spinning. The stabilizer arms that hold the center post may get pins instead of bolts. I may make a smaller center post for small ID wheels when I have an application that needs it. I am still looking at some sort of padding for the rim clamps.
The machine will be bolted down in the middle of the old sun room in the house. A compressed air service line runs through that room so compressed air will be available.
I have converted my old living room into a wood & assembly shop. The scoot trailer is being assembled there. This old house is approx 3,200 square feet of man-cave now.

Yeah, the wood shop made from the old living room needs air too so the line runs through the sunroom. The line runs through the basement also and to the carport. Someday, I may run iron pipe but right now all I have is rubber hose from the old worn out single-stage which is still hooked up. The new 5HP 2-stage compressor is in the metal shop. I will run full pressure on the hose and regulate it only when required. I am busy with running the 100A sub-panel for electrical service to the new compressor as well as making some more improvements to the sunroom. I still have more cleaning to do out there. There is always something to do.

It was about 4' long. It slid up and down on the center post, then had a locking bolt to keep it lock there. He had a small bottle jack, he would lift the truck slightly lock the mount. Then when he lowered it. It held down on the Tire Machine's center post.

Mounted my harbour freight tire changer to shipping pallet. Stays stable & no holes in garage floor.

Air lines in the house. I love it! My wife drew the line the other day when she caught me upstairs in the laundry room taking a picture and texting it to my buddy of our dryer plug. He was going to bring his buzz box welder over so we could weld a pin on a center stand. Well it was the wrong receptacle and was easier to take the stand to him but the wife wasn't looking to happy about us welding upstairs. Lol

Mounted my harbour freight tire changer to shipping pallet. Stays stable & no holes in garage floor. Hmmm, I do have the pallet the air compressor came on.... I saw that mentioned in the instructions and wondered about it. With no wife around there is nobody to object if I weld inside or convert the living room into a shop. The Ex didn't object when I used compressed air with a wand to clean the cobwebs off the textured ceilings. It worked like a charm.

Hey, I've done that.... Using compressed air to blow cobwebs off the ceiling. In a way, I'm glad I'm not single. I could just imagine I would have a trash trail through the living room ending at the couch in front of the TV; with just enough room to locate the ass print on the couch.... Plus I would find a way to park the scooters inside the house.

There is a drip trail between the refer, microwave, and sink that ends at my chair -here-. There is a drip 'V' in the seat of the chair that is not covered by my pants legs. The TV hasn't been turned on in two year. Trash gets thrown 'at' the trash can. Most of it finds it's way in, if not there is a semi-annual floor sweeping. The can gets cleaned at about the same time. The kitchen gets cleaned.... -never.
I clean off my desk annually by just sweeping everything off into a box. The box gets thrown in storage. Anything left in the box after two years I don't need. It may get a mild sort to see if I missed anything 'valuable or interesting' before it gets pitched. I occasionally find a missing tool there.
I DO park my scoot in the garage or metal shop. I have to keep the floor clean in there to avoid punctures. Parts are stored in boxes or totes on the lower shelf of a cart that holds my tools on the top side. I store my 5 gallon gas can with premium fuel on the bottom shelf also. The transfer pump is hooked over the cart handle. I am thinking about one of those metal 'Marine' fuel cells and storing it on the top of the cart for more height.
My Ranger and it's 'parts' are parked in my carport. I can still see the Ranger is red because of the fingerprints on the fender and around the door handle or a few other places. I can still see through the windows because of the critter paw prints. I threw a carpet square I was using on the concrete into the engine compartment on top of the engine, -'Something' sleeps there. Probably my garage cat when it is not sleeping in the basement. I have three cats and two cat boxes for each cat which get cleaned out Friday mornings for trash day. Two of them are giant 15-20# monsters that keep all other cats away.
No woman would dare set foot in my man cave. My daughter did come by to collect the 230V AC/DC Stick welder I had promised her along with about 75# of rod. She didn't stay but about 40 minutes. She has found out she likes to weld. I still have my 230V flux core unit and Oxy-A rig. She couldn't have been bothered when I was able to teach her.
