You'll be able to tell if it's loose. No need for foil if it's not. The wire and boot can be changed w/o changing the coil. I haven't done it though. That's one of the few stock things left. Thanks for the idea, gotta go place an order. Lol

I ordered the fuel pump anyways. I'd rather just order the coil & wire if there's anything wrong with it. But yeah. I'll let you know if anything else happens. For now, it's time for dinner and to watch lesbians in prison. Orange is the New Black time.

It's a Netflix series, but I downloaded the two seasons and we're crash course watching them. It's the new thing. I did 4 seasons of Game of Thrones in two weeks. Yeah, I'm not much on social interactions lol.

I'm looking at carbs online and noticing there's an inlet/outlet at the bottom? But I don't know what it's for. I am pretty sure on my scoot there's nothing connected to it. The carb I'm looking at is the PZ19J. All I remember having hooked up to mine was the oil inlet, which I capped off. Then there's the vacuum for the fuel pump, then the incoming fuel line. So what's that nipple on the bottom with the hose attached for? Am I missing something?

It's a bowl drain.

But I never noticed anything hooked up to it. The more I look at pictures online, the more I think I have a different carb in mine. My fuel intake and vac hoses are at the top of mine. I'll have to take pics when I get home later. The oil inlet was on the side too. I'm tempted to order a new carb just for the hell of it but I don't know which one to get and if I should "upgrade" just for the sake of it.

You don't need to upgrade yet.

You don't need to upgrade yet. Maybe not... But what if the carb went south? I know, I'm such an optimist lol.

They don't really go bad. They just get dirty and need tuning. I've got a couple stockers around.

They don't really go bad. They just get dirty and need tuning. I've got a couple stockers around. Well if you'd like to part/barter with one, I'm thinking that might be the issue. I don't know if this one is just that gunked up now. I put the new fuel line on from the pump to the carb and I put on a new vacuum line. I also found that the bottom of the carb has a nipple there for what, I don't know. I capped that off too, not sure if it was capped and something fell off. I started it up and it idled, but same thing, as soon as I throttle it she dies. So I took it apart, primed the fuel pump again and it primes with the syphon pump but then putting it back together, I can't get it to start now at all. I checked the plug wire, sprayed it with brake cleaner and the plug, wiped it off, put that back. Still nothing. I'm lost now and have packed it in for the night before I set the whole thing on fire. Well, not really, but you get my drift. I've had enough, I smell like gas and the mosquitoes were starting to buzz. So I don't know man, I'm lost. I can't tell what is going on without replacing the entire fuel system and ignition system. I've checked wires and connections, I don't know. Maybe the tube I cut wasn't the oil? I can't find a manual or schematic on the engine anywhere I look. So I'm literally flying blind. If it was a car, at least I'd have some kind of clue. If it means anything, "chainsaw" sound was gone at idle. It sounded smooth when it did run. Just not when I gave it throttle. So yeah, if you're feeling froggy and want to take a look at it sometime, I'm home all week after 5 or so and free all weekend after 12pm saturday. If you just want to bring over a blowtorch and have fun, I'll gladly turn my head and make the insurance claim. lol KIDDING AGAIN!

To make matters worse, a coworker told me he has a friend who has a couple of scooters sitting at his house he wants to get rid of. So he said he'd drive them up to me. So I'll have 2 more scoots sitting on my patio shortly to play with. I don't know what the title situation is on them or what's wrong with them, but I'll find out soon enough I suppose.

The nipple on the bottom of the carb is a drain. There is a screw that opens it. I'd pull and clean the carb with carb cleaner and blow out with compressed air. Check the tech section fuel systems or carbs for step by step. Anyone else have thoughts?

I don't have parts to replace anything inside and I don't have the time tonight to do anything else. I can bring it to work and dump it in the ultrasonic cleaner I suppose, but I don't have time to watch the videos at work and all. Ugh, I'll try. I just wish I could get this running so she had a ride, now she's got to bike or I have to pick her up. After everything I've been reading through, the carb and fuel pump both should be replaced and/or cleaned now. It's just frustrating not having someone around who knows these better than me. Sometimes a video on the internet doesn't really answer questions and what not. I'll give it a shot when I can though.

Since you removed the intake and reused the gasket w/o sealer there is a good chance you have a leak at the intake. Even with new gaskets and sealer they leak. A 2t will not run right with an air leak.
