Hi,
New to the forum, have a problem n need a bit a help, have a spy n the revs keep disappearing(sounds like weird misfire), like power dies n then kicks back in, keeps doing this, it seems to be happening more at half n full throttle, could this be an issue with fuel or something more serious? everything is stock on the scooter except leo vince gp exhaust with rollers n clutch springs fitted
Cheers.

:welcome:
It could be a fuel issue, but I would suggest checking the ignition system over first. Check all the connections. Spark plug cap, coil, stator, switches, etc... Check the plug out as well. Most fuel problems that I've had don't sound like misfires unless they are way rich and sputtering.

yeah the spark plug connector/cap is quite loose, not clicking onto the top of the plug like it should n more just sitting onto it, also the electric start only works half the time, never straight away takes a few go's, would this point to ignition issue like you suggested?
Cheers

The electric start is a completely different system. Replace the cap before you do anymore troubleshooting.

Agreed! Gotta be the cap. The cooling fan is probably making the cap come away from the plug at higher RPM's.

Checked the cap n was only sitting half down on the plug had come away a bit so have ordered a replacement, straight forward to fit?

Yeah. You unscrew the old cap from the plugwire. if you have enough, it's not a bad idea to cut 1/4" or so off of the end of the plug wire to give the new cap a good seat. The new cap just screws onto the plug wire.

Thanks a lot for that, would you know, im changing my rear pulley assembly at the moment, its an old 105mm setup n I want to convert to 107mm, can I just buy a new 107mm clutch & bell or do I have to change the actual rear pully itself??

You should be able to get away with just the clutch and bell. Welcome BTW!

I have run all different sizes clutch and bell without a problem with the torque spring fitting....You should be fine.

Thanks man, see how I get on anyway, just going back to the sparkplug cap, when 90GTvert said it simply screws off when changing the cap, I didnt think it would literally be a thread going into bare wire cable insulated tightly in the rubber lead, thought there would be some sort of connector, strange

It's a simple setup, but it works pretty well.
