Why post it in the first place? Since when do we avoid technical talk here? My bad , shoulda known it would get all testicle . It was probably an nervous driver in the open wheel(racing a scooter and all), that would also explain the bog on the launch, and the scooter, well thats just to much power for a drag scooter .... LOL, im joking! Just a scooter nerd like Vert said, and i love seening any scooter based machine beat a four wheeled fast anything No problem man. I lost a fond acquaintance Sunday (another gearhead and a lot of fun to be around) and was probably upset about that so I was a bit testy too. I've been a gearhead for about 44 years. Started with motorcycles, then cars, then road racing, then rallying and now scooters. I'm no expert but have a fair general knowledge of motorsports and it's hard not to let that out. Also, I'm no engineer, but I did study mechanical engineering for over three years and yes, I have worn pocket protectors so you know what that makes me. So I am what I am and I do try to keep myself in check as much as possible. Also, I realize that there are several approaches to problems and mine aren't necessarily the best. Also if it weren't for my spell checker on Google Chrome I'd look like a complete idiot!

Sorry for your loss Reg.
The newest version of Opera that was just released has automatic spell check too. The problem is that I type dyslexic and don't always look back to correct it.

I find myself typing sdrawkcab all the time. I swear I didn't do it and want to blame it on the computer. Sometimes I think I have suffered from dyslexia and ADD all my life. I hate playing cards, dominoes, chess etc. Any video game with a story or complicated logic has never been fun to me. Driving games quickly become boring (probably because I'm no good at them). There's nothing like experiencing the the limits of tire grip and beyond for real. But since pretty much all the timber access roads are off limits any more due to those lands being leased out to hunting clubs that option largely no longer exists. It sucks.

I lost my VERY close stepfather back x-mas of 05 and its been long time healing. Unfortunately my mother has to sell his Corvette to pay off bills, so ive been getting the car ready to sell the past week and its not easy bro. The Vette is easy to deal with, all the good memories with dad in it are tuff to cope with .... I understand. Hey nobody noticed i wrote testicle instead of technical? lol

There's nothing like experiencing the the limits of tire grip and beyond for real. I love racing games, but they bore me pretty quick too. I keep looking at Need For Speed : Shift that came out Tuesday, but won't spend $60 on it 'case as cool as it looks I know I won't play it in a month. That $60 bought a cam for the Sunl instead. lol Check it out anyway. Sweet in car graphics and sound... You can catch me on Xbox Live as "|||| TALK ||||". My name used to be "TurboStang331" then "I Do Not Talk" then something else, but everyone called me "Talk" so I went back to that. As the name implies, I really don't talk much at all in person via voice chat or phone or whatever unless I know you well. Hard to believe after seeing me post I'm sure. lol The group of people I play with have known me for a couple of years now and I still hardly ever say anything to 'em unless they ask me a question. I play Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare and Gears of War 2. I'll have Modern Warfare 2 when it comes out. As much as I love cars and bikes and scoots, I prefer to shoot at people on the Xbox. lol ;D ...And yes Rob, I noticed your testicle. Hmmm. That didn't come out right.

Sony,s Grand Turismo, any one of em. Realest racing game i have played yet handsdown. But like others i too get bored with em. Gran Turismo 4 has been pulling me back lately though. Something about beating 3/4million dollar cars in a 83 Toyota Sprinter makes me feel good lol. Edit: no that didnt come out right Brent lol...I was just changing my own subject

I had a friend bring over his PS3 and I hated it online. Xbox Live is so much better IMO. Maybe it's changed since. I did really like Gran Turismo when I owned a PS1 though. Just can't buy a PS3 for one racing game, even if it does play Blu Ray discs. BTW, my friend brought over the PS3 'cause he wanted me to try Guitar Hero (forget which one). It annoyed me, but yet it was fun. I picked a couple of songs I can play on a real guitar and couldn't do squat on there. So if I practice a lot I can be a good Guitar Hero player, but I still can't play a regular guitar. Something doesn't seem right there. Besides, my Marshall is louder than my TV so it's automatically cooler and I can play any song I want without paying to download it. Unlike a racing game or shooting game, I really can play instruments without risking my life or killing other people. I don't think walking around my neighborhood with a Barrett .50 cal would go off as smooth as it does in Call of Duty.

I appreciate you guy's condolences. He was my former wife's brother - strictly a Chevy or Ford guy. Seems like just about every time he would come to visit he was driving something different that he was fixing up or had fixed up. One of the more memorable experiences was going for a ride in a Chevelle wagon he was driving. There was a carload of people and I was sitting in the rear jump seat. He went out on a rural paved road stopped and then got on it hard. The left rear started spinning and I swear it spun for over 1/4 mile maybe close to 1/2 mile. I could just hear it keep spinning and spinning underneath me. He had to stop for gas in the nearby town. Melted rubber was just stringing down from the left rear 1/4 panel. Those old 283s were strong motors for their size.

Those video games keep getting better and better. I don't play online or otherwise. When I worked on commercial video games my favorites were hyper Mrs. Pac Man (the one that ran real fast) and the old Asteroids Deluxe. I had an Asteroids Deluxe in my house for a couple of years. It finally had a catastrophic melt down and I never got around to fixing it back up. Yeah shooting games are cool. I also had an old electromechanical pinball I inherited from a friend. We had our last child at home by midwife. My ol' lady was up playing it when she was 7 cm. dilated.

Hey 2strokd I figured you meant to use testicle, meaning getting our testosterone levels juiced up. ;D LOL. You mean you didn't? I just thought it was kinda "new generation" talk.

I get pegged as a Ford guy, but I love Chevelles and other Chevies too. My friend had a 70 Chevelle when my car was still fairly stock. Fun to ride in and what a looker.

Naa, i just mix up words sometimes, im a goof . Hey it fit though Im 29 and dont get most of the new gen "talk"lol. Maybe all just start my own. Vert, i have never played PS2 online, or any game as far as it goes. I just think all the GT games are the best racing games ever. I ran a minute 9 sec lap at Sears point stock car course in a 83 Toyota just to see if i could beat the stock car pace in a $1500 car: . Cant help it...

If you get the chance hook it up online. I mostly only buy games for multiplayer these days because they last so much longer. Shooting at AI players gets old. Blasting off an RPG in someones face online and listeneing to them cry about it, priceless. BTW, I have no idea why some people get so upset over a game, but it amuses me to be the "upsetter". lol Racing games don't do much for me online. I bought NASCAR '08 and the gameplay and recreation of the tracks was great. A friend of mine has driven a NASCAR at Atlanta and he said it's amazing how much it looks like what you see in the car at that track. I went to play it online and everyone gave me unsporting conduct reviews because I put them into the wall. lol

Yeah. NASCAR palyers were possibly the funniest I've heard. As I've said, I am a NASCAR fan, but these folks were yelling at me in strong southern accents and taking the game incredibly seriously. I believe I heard the phrase, "You don't go wreckin' Junior, boy!" lol These must be the same guys that get into bar fights over drivers.
