Making a thread to verify; as I'm a scooter noob, and haven't been able to find anything about this...
Looking to remove the oil injection on a Diamo 2T (D1E41QMB); somewhere searching I stumbled across something saying that when you do this, you need to remove the oil pump as well?
Are they saying to remove the oil pump LINES, or the oil pump itself is only used for the injection system and needs to be removed/plugged to ensure no air leeks in the system.
Once again, any info is appreciated. Thx ~CE

On that engine, the oil injector runs off the rear shaft of the gear box. That shaft is driven via a chain that is bathed in motor oil so removing the pump may cause an oil leak. I've never tried it on that type of engine. If there is a port on the carburetor where the oil gets injected in, plug it off by using a short piece of the oil line with a small screw in one end. You can remove the oil tank or not. That's your call. The injector is behind the oval cover at the rear of the swing arm Looking at these pics, I'm inclined to think removing the pump will in fact cause an oil leak. The pump itself seals the hole in the case.

I can understand why people don't trust their Chinese injector pump, or in your case have a stupid oiler that works only if the bike is moving, but I can't understand the need to remove the pump. Just use premix and leave the pump alone.
