A friend of mine bought 3 from a rental place and didn't follow my advice and couldn't get them registered. He got one running and it seemed like a decent scooter. I think i can get the 2 he left here papered I'm going to check with him but i think i inherited them. Missing a front wheel and one floor panel from having 2 complete scooters. What do you guys think of the Morini motors? I found BBKs and pipes pretty cheep once i looked. Might try a couple of bbk piped flips or one for a toy and one for parts. Any opinions? I know i hoards all the scooter parts let the ribbing begin but how good are these motors? One has almost 14k on it and still has compression i don't think they have been apart?

I'm king of Tgb scoots,j/k they are pretty decent scoots I'm running the key west now and when I got it it was in pieces(literally) only issue's that come up are 06 models were known for crank seal and crank issues but were resolved mid way through 06,I've been running a mid race 50cc motoforce kit and a mrp pipe and gps's at 54mph the manifolds location is a beotch too get too cause it is directly under engine mount bar other then that I beat the piss out of mine and she is still kicking it has about 4000 miles on OEM crank and max out on rpms around 9000-9800!!!!

Never really seen a build up of a Tgb scoot on here,also you can fit 13 inch rims on them but the front tire barely has clearance on a key west,I have a r50x parts bike that I was thinking of swapping out forks and putting them on my keywest.Also been looking for a Tgb hornet ATV engine,they made a 90cc 2t but they are rare and hard too find!!!

 ...Here is the key west with the r50x 13's rims and new paint job,its not the best paint job but way better then original color,also that's when I had my stock air box rigged but now I have the Doppler alien eye and "wow" so easy too tune,sorry moof for clogging your thread!!! |

I don't even know what model these are built 01/05 look kinda cool. Got 10 inch wheels but will clear a 130/90/10. I like those 13's

They are key west or 101's the 101's were there names in Europe, I've seen them here though but not a lot,that's what I have mine was a light bluish green but you can't even tell that's what I have since I painted and put 13 inch rims on,check for crank play and or bad seals!!!

See the panel on the front with the headlight I need a new front panel how much would you sell one for,mine got brake fluid on it and made the plastic real brittle and snapped at bolt points?I don't need the metal ram bracket..lol, or what ever they call it just the plastic front scrowed!!!!

I have a front wheel with a brand new tire,I think its a Kenda might have 200 miles street style tread maybe we could work something out let me know!!!

From what I've read the 101/kw is a great machine. really fast because its like 30lbs lighter than the r50x. Also stock look makes it look very rugged and off road capable.
I think the morini engine is a good one, just the crank is the weak point.
