I certainly did not read the entire paper but did pretty much digest the summary. I just realized another advantage of two strokes.... they are, for the most part, self cleaning and rid themselves of abrasive blow-by products which naturally collect in an accumulative manner in the crankcase of four strokes. The cleanliness of the intake air is much more critical in two strokes, however. :idea:

I still dont get why the gov thinks the 2T is more pollutant than the four?

well if they werent so expensive i'd like to have a furnace that cleanly burns used motor oil for my garage, maybe someday i'll have one. everyone says they pay for themselves over time i just dont have the up front money to get started on letting it pay for itself.
