So my buddy Vince and i have decided that we are going to ride the "Tail of the Dragon" with our Kymcos, some time in the next year.
Searching YouTube just now to get ideas i came across this video. Turns out Laggerhead braved the way before us!

Looks like a fun ride and definitely a perfect trip for the Twisty Riders. I bet that road would be crazy at night with the lights most scooters have.

Cool! I've been to the Tail of the Dragon (Deal's Gap) with some MR2 buddies (Sports cars). The road is awesome. 319 turns in 11 miles, if memory serves. Of course it's most famous among motorcyclists. There were lots and lots of Harleys & sport bikes there when we were. We were among the fastest on the road that day, and I dare say we were running at a pace no scooter could match. I'd be a bit afraid of running afoul of all the big-bike types and other lunatic motorists.
But hey, if I lived close enough, I'd scoot it for sure. Those two were lucky to have so little traffic on what looks like a beautiful day.
